• The fire exits were pointed out – Sue Hawkins is the First Aider for the evening.
• 14 members attended the Autumn Harrogate Show on our Club Trip plus individual visitors. Congratulations were given to Eileen Barraclough on her two second places in the “Button and Bow” category and also in “Pipe Dreams.”

• 9th -11th November is the Festive Flower and Food Show at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
• 18th November is the NE AGM at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield. Coffee will be served from 10am and the meeting will start at 11am. The AGM is free but a charge is made if you wish to stay for lunch and the afternoon demonstration. This is always a wonderful afternoon. And members were asked to please try and attend.
• 20 November is our Guest evening with Johnathan Mosley. This will be a stunning evening. Jonathan is bringing items for us to purchase and members will be offered the chance to buy more entries into the flower dip and chances to take home one of his arrangements.
• 11 December will be our Christmas fuddle and fancy dress ready to start a new year.
• Tonight is the last chance to order your 2018 Diaries and Calendars. Barbara Bott is taking orders.. Also Barbara will be taking any orders for the Flower Arranger for the coming year. Final numbers have to be in by our November meeting. Members were asked to support this magazine as it has many interesting articles and arrangements and offers good value for 4 issues with a price of £12.80.
• Members were asked to have a look at the revamped sales table. There are always full boxes of oasis, floral dishes and other mechanics in stock for arrangements at very reasonable prices and as the silk flowers seem to have run their course, we are trying a few new seasonal lines on a basis of when its gone its gone. The Sales Table will also be carrying items needed for Norma’s Workshop. Members were asked to have a look at the table and support the Club.
• Chair read out a shortened version of last month’s club minutes as it is often difficult to read them on the notice board. The summary of the arrangements which Pat provides will not be read out. There were no amendments and the minutes were approved for signature by Chair.
• Members were asked to turn off mobile phones as these can affect the Audio system.
